Registration for Freedom Harley-Davidson Rider’s Edge “New Rider Course” is now open for the 2010 riding season.  Stop in the dealership- located at 7233 Sunset Strip Ave NW, North Canton, Ohio  44720- to schedule your class today.  Class sizes are limited, so interested new riders are encouraged to complete the registration process as soon as possible.  Registration with payment guarantees the class dates.  All participants must pre-register for the Rider’s Edge “New Rider Course”.

Cost for the course is $300.00 and must be paid for in full to reserve your seat in a class.  This price includes twenty-five (25) hours of instruction, the use of a new Buell Blast motorcycle for the riding portion of the course, qualified Rider’s Edge Instructors, and a positive learning environment.  The “New Rider Course” provides participants with an introduction and explanation of basic riding skills such as clutch control, turning, braking, and collision avoidance.

Successful completion of the course will provide basic riding skills, a completion card (which provides endorsement waiver), and, in many cases, a discount on motorcycle insurance.

The course hours are:          

6:00pm-9:00pm Thurs. & Fri.

                                    8:00am-4:30pm Sat.

                                    8:00am-5:30pm Sun.

Thursday and Friday nights are classroom only.  The classroom sessions will be conducted at Freedom Harley-Davidson.  Saturday will consist of meeting at the riding range and riding exercises from 8:00am until 2:00pm, returning to Freedom Harley-Davidson for classroom until 4:30pm.  Sunday will consist of riding exercises at the range from 8:00am until 3:30pm, returning to Freedom Harley-Davidson for classroom until 5:30 pm.

Students are responsible for obtaining a Motorcycle Temporary Permit prior to the first night of the course. During the riding portion of the class, students must have a DOT approved helmet, full finger gloves, over the ankle footwear with a rubber sole, protective eyewear, long sleeve shirt or jacket, and durable long pants. Students without temporary permits or appropriate riding gear will not be permitted to participate in the riding portion of the course and will be disqualified from the class. These students will not be refunded any portion of the $300 enrollment fee.
